In response to the need for deeper formation in the Spiritual Exercises, the Murphy Center for Ignatian Spirituality of Fairfield University, will host a two-night, three-day conference for practitioners of the Spiritual Exercises on June 13-15, 2026, at Fairfield University. Showing the Way to God: A Conference for Practitioners of the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola, promises to be a stimulating few days of sharing new perspectives, best practices, and creating networks of support.

Seeing with the Heart: A Guide to Navigating Life’s Adventures. O’Brien reveals how we can realize our potential by embracing our struggles with courage, our questions with curiosity, and our destiny with boldness as we tap into our deepest desires and live lives of authenticity.
Each month we will draw inspiration from the book the Inner Chapel: Embracing the Promises of God by Becky Eldredge. Our journey will progress through a series of themes, including The Gift of the Inner Chapel, The Importance of Longing – Ours and God’s, Jesus Invites Us into Relationship, Each of Us has a Unique Call, and several more. For each theme, there will be insightful questions to open you to reflecting on your own life. Your spiritual guide will be Sr. Ann Boyle, RSR.

Please join us in celebrating the men and women who just completed the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises Retreat in Everyday Living and learn more about the ongoing programs of the Ignatian Spirituality Partnership of Maine. (IgnatianME.org)

This retreat looks at the cross, the tomb, and the resurrection not as individual events but rather, as a continuum that fulfills God’s salvific plan. Through art, poetry and prayerful reflection we will journey with Christ from his passion to his glory and discover the transformative power of these events.

Cost: This event is free, but please register so we will know that you are coming and have enough materials on hand. Registration deadline is February 28.
We approach our Lenten journey through prayerfully reminding ourselves of God's love. Strengthened by this, we confront the reality of sin and recognize our need for Christ, our Redeemer.
This retreat follows Fr. Joseph Tetlow, SJ's Lightworks. It is an adaptation of some of the prayerful movements in the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius which lead one through Lent into Holy Week.
The retreat will help you integrate daily prayer into your life by praying the Scriptures daily and to notice more deeply God's presence and call to ongoing conversion. At the weekly meetings we will share some insights from the week's prayer.
Dates: 7 Sunday evenings from March 2 to April 13 (Palm Sunday).
Time: Starting at 7 pm; each session runs 1-1.25 hrs

On this night, we recognize that this season can be very difficult for many people: those grieving a loss, those separated from friends or families, those not always welcomed by families or church communities.
We gather to acknowledge this pain and to join voices past and present calling upon God for hope and healing. All are welcome.
When: Thursday, December 18, 7- 8 pm

Merle Marie Troeger will be the spiritual director for Group Spiritual Direction Shaped by Ignatian Practices. The group will meet by Zoom from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. on the 3rd Monday of each month from October 2024 through June 2025.
This group is designed for people who have prayed the Spiritual Exercises in any format. It is also for people who have experience in small faith-sharing groups and/or spiritual direction. Some familiarity with Ignatian spirituality centered in “finding God in all things” will be very helpful.
